For companies wishing to sell or list machinery: the listing agency service, transaction flow, fees and FAQ.

What is Asset Bank?

Asset Bank is a marketplace that brokers the sale and purchase of used machine tools, measuring tools and precision equipment in Indonesia.

Beyond brokering, we provide one-stop support for transport, installation and insurance arrangements, backed by responsive customer support. If your company is considering selling or buying used machinery or equipment, we would be glad to help.

How a transaction starts

  • When a buyer expresses interest, we first confirm with the seller whether they wish to proceed (accept or decline). Only with the seller’s consent do we disclose the seller’s name to the buyer. We then act as intermediary, supporting the arrangements for machine inspection and transport.
  • Once both parties agree on the overall flow, the buyer transfers the purchase price to our designated account (escrow: payment is made in advance, see the diagram). After transport and test run are complete and inspection raises no issues, we transfer the amount less commission to the seller within 3 business days.

FAQ

FAQ for sellers

QHow will I know when there is an order?

We contact you whenever an order comes in. Only if you agree to have your company name disclosed to the buyer do we share your details and connect you for negotiation.

QCan you search for buyers on my behalf?

Yes. We actively look for prospective buyers through our extensive network.

QAre there any costs for the seller?

In principle, none. Actual costs for packing, transport and installation are borne by the buyer. We mediate the choice of contractors and the work schedule in consultation with you.

QWhen is the sale price paid?

After delivery and inspection are complete, you issue an invoice to us. We pay within 3 business days of receiving it.

Accounting and tax treatment

QHow is a sale treated in accounting?

If book value exceeds the sale price, the difference is recorded as a loss on disposal of fixed assets (non-operating); if the sale price exceeds book value, as a gain on disposal (non-operating).

QWhat about tax on a sale?

The sale is subject to VAT. Please add VAT to your invoice to us and attach the tax invoice (Faktur Pajak). Gains on disposal of fixed assets are subject to corporate income tax.
